With capital expenditure budgets for IT related projects significantly reduced and more global vendors moving to cloud based solutions, IT providers need to adapt by moving towards all-as-a-service delivery models. This means not only offering variable pricing models but also combining (1) hardware, (2) software and (3) services, delivered and priced as-a-service. Instead of charging annual fees for software maintenance, IT companies will be expected to share the operational risks in a reward-penalty pricing models based on strict Service Level Agreements.
